"All national institutions are nearing collapse because of corruption, nepotism and incompetence of the PPP government, causing an annual loss of Rs 500 billion to the national exchequer", he said. The PML-N leader also lashed out at the government for appointing PPP member of the National Assembly reportedly as the chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) board, saying it was condemnable. He alleged that the PSM, which was a profitable institution, wais now facing loss of billions of rupees because of the incompetence of the incumbent rulers.
Similarly, is the case with Sui Northern Gas Company Ltd, in which he said recruitment's of 350 persons have been made on political grounds while the PPP has earlier appointed scores of its supporters in Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd. "The appointments on political grounds in the companies is adding to the loss of these national institutions with each passing day", he maintained.
He alleged that PPP's influential were also taking bribe from the party's workers for appointing them in the public sector enterprises. He said that PML-N was not against providing jobs to the people but these should be based on merit so that those eligible could be accommodated. He opined that public sector enterprises could be made profitable if competent persons are appointed on merit for filling the key posts.
